The album is a throw back to early 80's new wave synth-pop. For Jerry's 2009 concerts, he stripped away the sophisticated electronics of computer sequencing and modern sounds to achieve a truly classic reproduction of the early synth and drum machine sounds from yesteryear. 'Retro Live' features the songs as they were presented in his 2009 performances. The production goal of this album was to capture the best studio quality performances without spending too much time under the microscope.
As a soloist, Jerry has a unique approach to writing. He sculpts his music with a mix of the 1970's progressive, 1980's new wave and early 1990's synth-pop.
This digital release will be followed up with a physical CD release, planned for late 2010.
